Magnetising Maw Krusha

This is a quick and easy tutorial on how to magnetize the Megaboss on the Maw Krusha. My plan is to make a magnetized base later and then I can use the Megaboss on his mount and on foot as well.

1.
After cleaning the mould lines but before gluing any pieces together, take the two pieces which needs to be magnetized.

Magnetizing one leg will be enough, it will hold the Megaboss strongly on the back.

Drill a small hole in the dragon where the Megaboss' heel will be. This will be the 1st magnets place.

Use a small drill for now, we will drill it to be bigger later

Turn the piece on it's back. We will drill from this side next time.

Fit the Megaboss' leg on it's place and drill a hole in it through the small hole already in the dragon body.

Be careful to hold the leg in place so the holes will be in the right position

If you done it right the hole in the heel will be exactly where it should be

Now we can drill a bigger holes where the magnets can fit.

I drilled the two pieces together again from the inner side of the dragon

Repeat this with another hole for the second magnet and then glue in your magnets. I used 3mm N35 magnets and they hold strongly.

Check the magnet polarities before gluing them!

9.
On the inner side I used a tonn of glue to secure it. I didn't wanted the magnets to fell in the dragons belly after assembly.

The leg clicks in it's place and hold tightly and securely.

Ready to ride!
